Robotic competitions

FIRST LEGO League (FLL)

FIRST LEGO League introduces science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) to children ages 9-14 through fun, exciting hands-on learning. Participants gain real-world problem-solving experiences through a guided, global robotics program, helping today’s students and teachers build a better future together.

In FIRST LEGO League, students engage: in hands-on STEM experiences, building confidence, growing their knowledge and developing habits of learning.  We focus on FIRST LEGO League Challenge, which is competition with teams of students ages 9-14 that engage in research, problem-solving, coding and engineering. It requires building and programming a fully autonomous LEGO robot that navigates the missions of a robot game with scores based on missions succeeded. As part of the Challenge, teams need to prepare three 15min presentations (each includes 10 min question period) of the Robot Design, Core Values and a Research Project to identify and solve a relevant real-world problem.

We ranked high in each year’s Quebec’s provincial final competition among hundreds of competing teams.

  • 2021 1st in Robot Performance & 2nd in Canada Cup.

  • 2022 3rd in Robot Performance & 2nd for Innovative Project.

  • 2023 2nd in Robot Performance & 1st in Robot Design.

  • 2024 1st in Robot Design.

  • 2025 1st in Robot Performance & Provincial Champion.

FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC)

After the experience of FIRST LEGO League (FLL), we make team to compete in FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC).  Team members age 12-18 are challenged to design, build, program and operate robot to compete in head-to-head challenge in an alliance format. We are undisputed number 1 team in Quebec, winning top awards each year with our unique robot design, advanced algorithm, well-planned strategies and passionate team members.  In our provincial championship competitions, we won,

  • 2023 Winning Alliance and Inspire Award.

  • 2024 Winning Alliance and Innovative Award.
